Sister Nettle
Ooh lady, she’s my sin
I want to feel her touching my skin
she’s an angel if there’s ever been
I thank the heavens for lettin’ me in
Jackie
You settle in with younger men
One day you’ll get to be the boss
Need it Like Water
why do we make those we care about the most
carry our burden, walk with our angry ghosts?

“He knew in his own mind
his soul had been saved
by layin’ in the river
with the sun on his face”

Music has always been a tonic for Brent’s soul. But it wasn’t until he was older did he realize how much music made him who he is today. For years he felt that those songs in his head were always someone else’s songs…
not any more.
Blending stories of friendship, loss, morality and fear, Brent’s music weaves simple lines with melody and meaning, coaxing a vision in each verse and hope in each chorus.
With influences like Tom Petty, Willie Nelson and Blue Rodeo, it is easy to connect the dots in his songs and to feel as though you may have some part in the message he is conveying.
Having played in bands The Flamethrowers, Three Legged Dog, Buggers to Blame, Brother Willis and 1 North 3 South—and now his own Brent Monster Band—he brings a deep connection with live music and has learned immensely from playing with incredible musicians in his career.
Now the stage is set for his one-man solo show that will lighten your mood and bring you into the world he sees through his music.
Who is Brent Wills
Born and raised in the mountains of Virginia, Brent creates music that reflects his love of the natural world and those who dwell in it.
His songs swell with stories of those both close to home and in far-flung corners, often meeting somewhere in the middle.
The farm that Brent and his family call home have provided fodder for his music as well as a space for him to write and hone his craft, putting pencil to paper and soul to sound.

“It’s better to live in a tumbledown shack with no worries to spare
livin’ our wild and animal ways, it’ll take you down if you dare”
